OpenConstruction

The platform is organised as eight modules under strict data ownership: exactly one module can create or change each record, and every other module only reads it. That rule exists because the most expensive failure in this kind of business is two parts of the system reporting the same money differently. Stock, cost and financial ledgers are append-only — corrections are made with reversing entries, never deletions — and every change to a price, a slab, a cost or a claim is written to an immutable audit trail. Access runs across eight levels, and visibility of pricing and margin is a separate flag on the account rather than a role, so a supervisor can approve production without seeing what the job is worth.

Highlights

  • One writer per record — no two modules can report the same money differently
  • Append-only ledgers: a correction is a reversing entry, never a deletion
  • Off-cuts stay valued, findable stock with parent lineage instead of becoming scrap
  • Warranty certificates trace a job down to the component, the slab and the goods receipt it came from
  • Pricing and margin visibility is an account flag, not a role — production can be approved without exposing job value
